1330 Road Cycling

Saturday 30th August – Saturday 6th September (7 nights)Autumn Ascents TYPE 620
Graeme - September 2013September is a fantastic time for road riding in our valley, so our ‘Autumn Ascents’ Guided Week allows you to experience the stunning views of the mountains as the colour of the surroundings begin to take on a different hue.

You will be riding climbs which have been made famous by appearing as part of the Tour de France routes many times over the years before they close for the winter.

We will liaise with you before your arrival and create an itinerary based on your group’s ability levels and ride requirements so you can get the most out of your stay with us in the Alps. There are some serious KOMs on all of the roads which point uphill (and down!) in our area, so if that’s your thing the challenges are already here waiting for you.

You can read more about these in the ‘Local Climbs’ section, where you will find more detailed information, gradient breakdowns and stories explaining why these roads are so enjoyable for us road cyclists.

If you prefer to spend your time in the saddle taking in the views rather than biting the handlebars at full-gas all day long we can also offer you several options to achieve that goal. This is a fantastic part of the world to ride a bike and improve yourself as a rider, or just improve your view of the world. We’d love to show you around.

Madeleine summitThe Vuelta a España, the last of the big three week Tours, will be into it’s second week while you are with us. So, after each day’s ride you can watch the live stages and evening highlights on UK TV channels back at Chalet 1330 with your highly-deserved afternoon tea and cake.

To ensure you get the most of the week and are ready to tackle each day of riding in the best condition possible we have a carefully planned menu so each meal will deliver what your body needs, both pre and post ride. We are also in partnership with Massage Me, the local massage and sports therapy company, who will be providing on-site massage and treatments on request.
